MUSIC BIO
Kendra’s music weaves together personal experience and the universal journey of the soul, offering lyrically-driven soundscapes that traverse the diverse terrain of the heart. Her songs open listeners to the raw, honest, and beautiful, creating a space for connection and reflection.
With a soulful acoustic foundation, her sound is enriched by bluesy folk undertones, tribal echoes, and ethereal threads that feel both grounded and otherworldly.
The seeds of song were planted early, listening to her grandfather sing as a young girl. Though she sang in school and church during her formative years, her passion for songwriting emerged in college when she finally picked up a guitar and began to play.
Songwriting has since become a sacred practice—an invitation to engage in deeper conversations and a call to embrace the honesty of the heart. As Hemingway once said, “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.” For Kendra, the process of writing songs exists somewhere between this sentiment and a sense of marvel at life’s natural wonder.
